It’s the first week of March, and we are finally experiencing seasonally appropriate weather in Minnesota. The polar vortex is gone! A patriotic Picking Petals by Sweet Treasures Quilts from Carried Away Quilting

Please excuse the horn tootin’ going on over here, but I’m quite proud of my pattern Picking Petals. This was one of the first patterns I released when my business was new, and over the years she’s been stitched up by thousands of quilters in a variety of colorways and themes. It’s a quick little quilt to sew, and the results are always lovely. Recently the folks at Sweet Treasures Quilts sewed up a patriotic version, which is sophisticated and striking!

The Kindness Project: Mystery quilt top is complete from Carried Away Quilting

This past weekend, I enjoyed time outdoors in the sunshine with my family. The weather was nice enough to complete some spring yard work and talk to the neighbors . . . from a safe social distance of course.
